Complete your Years 10, 11 and 12 at SEDA College NT alongside Tennis NT. The program provides a direct link to industry opportunities in a hands-on learning environment all connected to your interest in Tennis.
The connection between education and industry facilitates authentic learning experiences and student opportunities. This combination enables our students to acquire the skills to support future educational and employment pathways.
Our curriculum is designed to connect students to ideas, skills and knowledge that can be applied far beyond the boundaries of a classroom.
^This qualification is delivered under the 2022 Training Contract – VET delivered to Secondary School Students in accordance with the Northern Territory Department of Education students who are 15 years of age or above and enrolled with SEDA Group in 2022 may attract government subsidised training during this qualification. Evidence of eligibility must be presented to SEDA Group prior to enrolment. Funded training is subject to approval; individuals will be notified prior to enrolment.
*SEDA Group (RTO No 22503) is responsible for the training and assessment of this qualification and responsible for the issuance of AQF certification documents. SEDA College NT Limited provides training and assessment services, individual support services, collection of fees and recruitment of prospective learners for this program on SEDA Group’s behalf.
SEDA College NT students undertake a combination of mainstream and Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications, which develop their industry-specific skills and contribute credits towards their NTCET.
Develop your knowledge and skills to work in the fitness industry through developing and implementing an advanced fitness program aimed at achieving fitness for peak performance. You will work with a strength and conditioning coach and other professionals to achieve fitness in preparation for a fitness challenge or sporting competition.
Develop your leadership skills in a sport and recreation setting by leading the planning and delivery of a variety of sport, fitness and recreation sessions for different groups. In the process, you will improved your teamwork skills and gain a better understanding of group dynamics.
SEDA aims to develop your physical and mental wellbeing to cope with the things life throws at you. In Health, you will investigate contemporary health issues relevant to adolescents and develop strategies to help improve your resilience, mental, physical, and social wellbeing.
Learn about the factors that influence participation in sport across the community. You will link with a community organisation to identify opportunities to increase participation in sport and recreation, develop an action plan to engage people and implement your services.
Get involved in your local community and promote sport, fitness and health through implementing programs for marginalised groups. You will develop your understanding of diversity, as well as your collaboration and problem-solving skills as you put your ideas into action.
Our students get a head start in their career through our Structured Workplace Learning. This hands-on learning experience is delivered one day a week. Students gain an in-depth understanding of the duties they might be expected to perform in the workplace, and they will acquire the skills that prospective employers need and want in their employees.
Develop the skills and attributes needed to teach sport skills to a wide variety of people. Access SEDA’s industry experts and sporting partners to gain a greater understanding of coaching principles and the development of coaching sessions.
In Year 11, students undertake VET qualifications in sport and recreation, providing the opportunity to gain experience in a variety or areas within the industry whilst completing a School-Based Traineeship*.
MyPLAN is a digital portfolio that supports students to track their individual goals, achievements, experiences, and growth during their time at SEDA. Underpinning MyPLAN are the Transferable Work Skills and Personal Habits, which have been identified as important attributes, attitudes, and mindsets to develop in order to succeed at SEDA and beyond. Development of the MyPLAN portfolio, and the Transferable Work Skills and Personal Habits, is supported with timetabled MyPLAN sessions in class and regular MyPLAN meetings between teachers, parents, and students.

SEDA College NT partners with the biggest sporting brands and organisations in the Northern Territory facilitating real life industry experiences and student opportunities.
Tennis NT are dedicated to providing SEDA College students with education, development and participation opportunities within the industry. With a strong passion for tennis, they seek to develop student skills and experiences by providing them with industry specific opportunities to help achieve these outcomes.
Selection into SEDA College’s programs is based on an online application and interview process.
Selection into our Sports Development Programs (SDP) is not dependent on sporting skills and students of all ability levels may apply.
Students must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australia Permanent Resident to be eligible for any of the SEDA College NT programs.
Students who have already completed Year 10 or 11 may be able to enter directly into Year 11 or Year 12 level respectively. Eligibility for this will be determined at an interview. Students who are completing or have completed Year 12 are not eligible to apply.
