About Us

SEDA College NT is an independent senior secondary school for students in Years 10, 11 and 12, offering a different approach to education in the Northern Territory. We are more than a school; we are part of a wider community that connects young people with real-world learning, industry experiences, community service and pathways beyond the classroom.

Our approach is designed for students who learn best when education feels practical, relevant and connected to life beyond school. Students are encouraged to build independence, confidence, work-ready skills and a sense of social responsibility while being supported by teachers, staff, families and industry partners.

At SEDA College NT, students can work towards the Northern Territory Certification of Education and Training (NTCET) alongside Vocational Education and Training (VET), giving them the opportunity to develop academic knowledge, practical skills and clearer pathways into further study, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment and community life.

Through applied learning, students connect what they study with practical activities, projects and industry-based experiences. This helps students see the purpose of their learning and develop skills they can use in further education, training, employment and everyday life.

Connected to Community

Community is central to the SEDA College NT experience. Through partnerships with primary schools, sporting organisations, government departments, community groups and local workplaces, students are given opportunities to learn by contributing. These experiences help students develop practical skills, cultural and social awareness, confidence and a genuine understanding of how they can make a positive impact in the Northern Territory.

Supporting Every Student’s Pathway

Every student’s pathway is different. Our staff work with students and families to support learning, wellbeing, career planning and personal growth. Whether a young person is aiming for further study, a trade pathway, employment, sport, community leadership or a clearer sense of direction, we help them build the skills and confidence to move forward.

Our goal is to provide a senior secondary experience where students feel known, supported and challenged to achieve their personal best, while developing the skills, confidence and community mindset to contribute meaningfully beyond school.
