Governance

SEDA College NT operates under the governance framework established by the Education Act 2015 (NT) (the Act) and the Education Regulations 2016 (the Regulations). These legislative instruments outline the standards and requirements for educational institutions within the Northern Territory, ensuring that our college meets rigorous criteria for registration, compliance, and accountability.

As a member of the Association of Independent Schools of the Northern Territory (AISNT), SEDA College NT is part of a network of independent schools that uphold high educational and operational standards. Our membership in this association reflects our commitment to continuous improvement, quality education, and alignment with best practices in the independent schooling sector.

SEDA College NT is also recognised as a registered not-for-profit organisation with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). This status underscores our dedication to providing educational services for the public benefit, ensuring that our resources are directed towards advancing our students’ education and well-being.

To maintain our status as a non-government independent school in the Northern Territory, SEDA College NT has developed and implemented a comprehensive range of policies and reporting documentation. These are essential for meeting the regulatory requirements set by the Northern Territory Government and ensuring that we provide a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.

In line with our commitment to transparency and accountability, we have made these policies and required documentation available to the public. Below are links to the policies and documents required to be displayed on our website, reflecting our adherence to the standards and expectations of our governing bodies and the broader community.

Director of the Board Expression of Interest

SEDA is continually improving, looking forward becoming a strong education provider in the NT, acknowledged as a sports college. My child is being challenged and encouraged to step up, take risks (which he doesn't do easily), he is in a strong position to take up opportunities. He has all the supports around him in SEDA, sporting bodies and family, the rest is up to him.
