Year 12

School for Real-Life

SEDA College NT embraces each student’s passion by supporting their individual journeys, empowering them to complete their secondary education, and establishing practical connections to industry

Students are treated as young adults, with opportunities to develop their independence and resilience through structured work experience. They also have access to various educational, career, and wellbeing programs.

During Year 12, students have the opportunity to attend SEDA Cup, which allows students to engage with peers from other SEDA Colleges across Australia, compete in various sports, and participate in a range of activities and programs. Students also receive priority access to apply for a position on the College’s overseas trip to Timor-Leste.

Curriculum

During Year 12, each student focuses on attaining their Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET) certificate while facilitating, managing, and applying what they are learning in real-life settings. We design our curriculum in collaboration with our industry partners so that students develop the knowledge, skills, and attributes of current industry professionals.

NTCET

Integrated Learning

Integrated Learning is a framework designed to help students connect various aspects of their lives with their personal development and abilities. The College creates Integrated Learning programs tailored to specific purposes, products, and outcomes that align with students' needs and interests.

Additional NTCET Subjects

Additional NTCET subjects are offered to students who need extra credits to attain their Year 12 certificate. This typically applies to students who did not start at the College at the beginning of Year 10.

Duke of Edinburgh

Students will undertake their Bronze level Duke of Edinburgh Award. This award is internationally recognised and focuses on developing important life skills. Throughout their journey to achieve the award, students will focus on four areas; Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, Skill and Adventurous Journey. For those who have already completed the Bronze Award, the College will support you to achieve the Silver Award.
