Child Safety Statement
Why It Matters:
At SEDA College NT, we care about helping young people learn and grow into happy, responsible members of their communities. We are dedicated to keeping all students safe and happy at school. This means we work hard to protect students from harm and to teach everyone how to spot and report any bad behaviour. We believe that no form of child abuse or grooming is acceptable. We have strong rules and plans in place to keep everyone safe, both in our classrooms and online.
What We Aim To Do:
We want to make our school a safe place by:
- Creating rules and practices that protect kids.
- Stopping inappropriate behavior and making it easy to report any concerns.
- Fostering a friendly environment that prioritizes child safety.
- Talking openly about child safety so everyone understands its importance.
- Following all laws to keep kids safe.

We believe:
- Every student has the right to feel safe and cared for.
- Keeping kids safe is important to everyone at our school.
- Our staff knows how to act appropriately around children.

Who’s Responsible:
Keeping kids safe is a team effort!
- All staff, volunteers, and anyone else working with kids at our school share this responsibility.
- We encourage students to be part of creating a safe environment and to speak up if they feel unsafe.
How to Report Concerns:
If you ever feel that a student is unsafe or if something seems wrong, you should tell someone right away.
- Everyone in our school—students, parents, and staff—must report any concerns about safety.
