SEDA College NT provides a direct link to industry opportunities in a hands-on learning environment all connected to your interest in Basketball.
The connection between education and industry facilitates authentic learning experiences and student opportunities. This combination enables our students to acquire the skills to support future educational and employment pathways.
Basketball NT and the Darwin Basketball Association (DBA) are dedicated to providing our students with education, development, and participation opportunities within the industry. With a strong passion for basketball, their staff seek to develop student's skills and experiences by providing them with industry-specific opportunities to help achieve these outcomes. When opportunities arise, students who have selected basketball as their sport will be provided first access to experience:
- The opportunity to complete work experience at Basketball NT and the Darwin Basketball Association
- Working in a range of areas including merchandise and community involvement for Darwin Salties games
- Delivering coaching programs on behalf of Basketball NT
- Coaching and officiating at DBA sanctioned events
- Involvement at National level events including statistical and timing training
- Event management at NBL1 games
- Matchday and operational assistance with local basketball associations
- Introductory level coaching and refereeing courses
Students who select Basketball NT as their preferred industry partner will have college uniforms that reflect the Basketball NT brand.
