Exploring a Construction & Trade Program for 2026
SEDA College NT is excited to announce that we are exploring the option of offering a Construction and Trade Program starting in 2026!
The hands-on learning nature of SEDA College NT attracts many students who develop a strong interest in pursuing trade-based careers, particularly within the construction industry. Each year, several of our graduates move directly into apprenticeships or traineeships, thanks to the success of our work experience program. This increasing trend highlights the clear demand for a dedicated Construction and Trade program at SEDA College NT.
The intent is for the program to run alongside our existing sports-based programs from 2026, where students will have the opportunity to select sport-based or the Construction and Trade Program in Year 11, adding to what we consider a very well-rounded and real-life-specific suite of qualifications offered by the College including Sports Coaching, Sport and Recreation, and Business. Each of these programs offers a blend of practical and theory-based learning designed to prepare students for real-world opportunities.
The intention is that students can either transfer into the Construction and Trade program in Year 11 after completing Year 10 or commence immediately as a new Year 11 student.
If this program sounds like something your child’s sibling, a family member, or a friend may be interested in and they would like to learn more please click here to submit an expression of interest.
Together, we can build a strong future for the next generation of tradespeople!
